I had to take a taxi.

I had never hailed down a cab before, but the image of Carrie Bradshaw doing so in Sex and the City time and time again flashed through my mind. So I thought to myself (or we could say WWCBD, what would Carrie Bradshaw do?), just channel your inner Carrie and it will all work out. Gulp. I mean, it had to. I couldn’t be late for this interview. The odds of getting an open cab weren’t very high, so to this day I say the fashion gods must have been with me, because sure enough an open taxi came my way after only a couple minutes of frantically standing on a street corner. I hailed it down in a way that I knew would have made Carrie proud.
